Morocco, located in Northern Africa, is officially known as the Kingdom of Morocco. Morocco is a member of the Arab Maghreb Union, Organization of the Islamic Conference, Arab League, Francophonie, Mediterranean Dialogue group and Group of 77. Casablanca is undoubtedly the largest port and a significant industrial center. In the northeast, during the rainy seasons, irrigation is not required to grow wheat, barley and other cereals. It produces a notable amount of illegal hashish and most of it is transported to Western Europe. Rich deposits of minerals like phosphates, manganese, barytine, iron ore, silver, zinc, copper, lead, gold and coal can also be found. |
